Agenda

Agenda_6

I find it easy
to look across the blank dates
of DISTANT MONTHS
and fervently pray…

Lead me on your path
Guide me to needy people
Open doors of service
Make me a blessing to others

I find it  difficult
to be thankful for God’s answer
to a similar months-ago prayer
when the answer comes
TODAY.

TODAY
my agenda is set.

TODAY
I do not welcome
Intrusions
Interruptions
Open doors
Answered prayers
that will snarl
my well-planned agenda.

“Interruptions can be viewed as sources of irritation or opportunities for service, as moments lost or experience gained, as time wasted or horizons widened. They can annoy us or enrich us, get under our skin or give us a shot in the arm. Monopolize our minutes or spice our schedules, depending on our attitude toward them.” William Arthur Ward
